Crazy about the Cap Ferret Peninsula.

Cap Ferret is a coastal strip of about twenty kilometres separating the Atlantic Ocean and the Bay of Arcachon. Located in Gironde, 40km west of Bordeaux, the Cap Ferret peninsula enjoys a unique location close to the ocean, the Bassin d’Arcachon and the Landes de Gascogne forest. This unique location means you can enjoy the landscapes of the Arcachon basin on one side, and the waves and immensity of the Côte d’Argent on the other. At the point, where the Arcachon basin meets the Atlantic Ocean, the Arguin sandbank can be seen and, beyond it, the mighty Dune de Pyla.

Leaving from the commune of Lège Cap Ferret, the visitor passes through several villages on the road leading to the southern end of the peninsula: Jane de Boy, Claouey, Le Four, Les Jacquets, Petit et Grand Piquey, Piraillan, Le Canon, L’Herbe, La Vigne and Cap Ferret.
